About The Game

Nations crumble as the Second World War rages. Hitler has given SS leader Himmler his full support in his efforts to combine occultism and science to create an army that can completely destroy the Allies. You’re on a dangerous mission to stop Himmler while fighting alone, or you’ll perish trying to pierce the Third Reich’s heart of darkness. You’ll fight in an intense Axis vs. Allies competition for frontline dominance in the game’s innovative team-based multiplayer mode as you fight out your own WWII. The Wolfenstein universe erupts with the grandiose scenery, A.I., weaponry, and dramatic effects that can only be found in a game made by true masters thanks to the Quake III Arena engine. The game equips the hero with a wide variety of barrels:

Colt and Luger pistols;
machine guns MP-40, MG-42 and “Malice”;
rifles “Spy”, Mauser 98 and FG-42;
special ammunition, in the form of a flamethrower and a tesla cannon.

All firearms are used to kill not only ordinary Nazis, but also X-creatures, such as Lopers, proto-soldiers and Über-soldiers, as well as various types of undead.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is built on the Quake III Arena engine, so game mechanics, graphics, environmental details, special effects and artificial intelligence are at the same high level.
